Pagpupugay sa Lahat ng mga Manggagawa!

On May 1st of each year, the Philippines observe Labor Day as a national holiday. This day, often referred to as International Workers' Day, is observed as a national holiday to recognize the dedication and contributions of all workers. The first Labor Day commemoration in the Philippines was held on May 1, 1903. The Union Obrera Democratica de Filipinas, the nation's first labor federation, organized it.

When I was younger, I didn't know much about Labor Day and, unfortunately, I only knew about it since there was no class on that day. However, as the years pass, I have come to understand that Labor Day was genuinely observed by dedicated Filipinos all across the nation. 'Araw ng mga Manggagawa' is how it is referred to in Filipino. The most recent Labor Day was celebrated by spending time with my hardworking family. We all had fun and rested, and then we went out to celebrate. While resting and going out might appear opposites, to me, spending time with my family counts as rest since I feel happy and relaxed with them.

Therefore, I hope that everyone will learn about the real significance, purpose, and reasons for labor day and that every worker will be treated fairly.
