Embracing a Future of Infinite Possibilities

Envisioning my future is both an exciting and terrifying aspect of my life. I need to make a smart decision if I want to be what I want to be in the future; I have a lot of thoughts for myself a decade from now.

I used to think that life was simple when I was a kid, but I was wrong. One of my current concerns is my future. I'm not even sure what strand to take in shs or what job I want. There is a lot of pressure on me because my family is made up of people who work in the medical field or the police. I don't want to be either of those things, and I'm afraid of disappointing my family with my future decisions. Despite the mounting pressure, I know that I want a job related to computers because computers have been a huge part of my life since I was a youngster. I see myself as a software engineer or a web developer.

Imagining myself a decade from now motivates me to do better; my future will not be simple, but I am confident that as long as I am committed to be what I want to be, I will be able to attain it.

Be the Change we Wish to See in the World

In a society that sometimes feels chaotic and overwhelming, it's easy to believe that only external forces or important personalities can bring about change.

We sometimes find ourselves waiting for someone else to step up and make a difference, oblivious to the great power we possess.

To truly "be the change we wish to see in the world," one must lead by example and practice what they preach. By acting with kindness and compassion in our daily lives, we can set a good example for others around us. We can all help promote tolerance and acceptance by learning about other cultures and customs and actively seeking out interactions with people from all backgrounds.

It's easy to feel powerless in the face of seemingly intractable societal problems, yet we can all make a difference by acting individually. One method to make the world a better place is to mimic the characteristics and deeds we like to see in others.

A Mother's Love Transcends Time

Mother's Day is a holiday commemorating moms, whether they are biological or adopted, as well as maternity, maternal ties, and the impact women have on society. Although my mother and I don't spend a lot of time together physically, she still goes above and beyond to make me happy. Mothers are the best in the world.

The best mother is my Lola and Mama. They sacrifices everything for me, even though it is difficult for them to do so. I am extremely grateful for them because they have taught me the value of being grateful for what you have. My mama and lola are the first teachers I have, and I hope they will see me grow into a successful man. When I'm older, I hope I can provide for them in every way.

To sum up, Mother's Day is a unique event that encourages us to acknowledge and honor the extraordinary mothers in our lives.

Pagpupugay sa Lahat ng mga Manggagawa!

On May 1st of each year, the Philippines observe Labor Day as a national holiday. This day, often referred to as International Workers' Day, is observed as a national holiday to recognize the dedication and contributions of all workers. The first Labor Day commemoration in the Philippines was held on May 1, 1903. The Union Obrera Democratica de Filipinas, the nation's first labor federation, organized it.

When I was younger, I didn't know much about Labor Day and, unfortunately, I only knew about it since there was no class on that day. However, as the years pass, I have come to understand that Labor Day was genuinely observed by dedicated Filipinos all across the nation. 'Araw ng mga Manggagawa' is how it is referred to in Filipino. The most recent Labor Day was celebrated by spending time with my hardworking family. We all had fun and rested, and then we went out to celebrate. While resting and going out might appear opposites, to me, spending time with my family counts as rest since I feel happy and relaxed with them.

Therefore, I hope that everyone will learn about the real significance, purpose, and reasons for labor day and that every worker will be treated fairly.

Second to the Last Chapter of My 10 ICT Journey

Quarter 3 was a remarkable period in my studies because it was the first time I did community-based research with my teammates and where I learnt more about HTML.

My html learning experience has been enjoyable; I have gained new skills and have even used them to create a webpage on our community-based research. My community base study is likewise fun and enjoyable. I have four fantastic groupmates: Zion, Adeline, Leighnel, and Kirby. We completed our community base research and successfully defended it.

Finally, third quarter was an important part of my fourth year of high school because I learned more about HTML and even published a research webpage.

Overall, my third quarter journey/experience was good and fun. I will miss this quarter and aim to improve next quarter.

Second, we visit the beach every Easter Sunday in the belief that seeing the sun rising over the water while barefoot in the sand serves as a reminder of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the actual significance of the holiday marked by sweets.

The third and final, is family getting together to discuss our views and religions.

Overall, the Lenten season is a lasting tradition in my life and season to observe and commemorate the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Reviving Tradition: A Memorable High School Day Celebration in ISNHS After 3 Years

The High School Day Celebration is a significant and will always be a historic moment for us ISNHS students. It all started in 1902 when the first High School Day Celebration was celebrated. It was celebrated every year and was first cancelled in 2019 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It stopped for almost 3 years and came back this year in 2023. It was a good experience because 2019 should be the first high school day that will be experienced by me and my fellow first-year student, but sadly we only experienced it in our 4th and last year as high school student. Well, some of us may stay at this school and experience the high school day, but some of us will also leave, meaning it was our first and last experience this year.

This year's high school day showcases three parts: First the thanksgiving mass followed by the second program, the 10 a.m. program, and we saw the performances for pambansang awit, Region 1 Hymn, Ilocos Sur Hymn, Vigan Hymn, ISNHS Hymn, and many more. The last part, and my favorite, is the Field Demo at 1 p.m. It started with prayer followed by a welcome address and then the performance of calisthenics. festival dances, and hip-hop dance.

That was a good day. Overall, this year's high school day will be memorable, and I will cherish the memories I have of that day.

Babae Ka, Hindi Babae Lang.

Women's month is an annual celebration in March dedicated to honoring the contributions and achievements of women throughout history and contemporary society. The month-long event provides a platform to raise awareness about the various issues and challenges that women face, including gender inequality, discrimination, and violence. The importance of women's month lies in its ability to promote gender equality and empower women.

By highlighting the successes and struggles of women, we can inspire future generations of women and girls to pursue their dreams and break down barriers that limit their potential. Women's month also serves as a reminder of the work that still needs to be done to achieve gender equality. Despite progress in many areas, women continue to face significant challenges, including the gender pay gap, unequal access to education and healthcare, and gender-based violence.

Ultimately, women's month is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women, raise awareness about gender equality, and advocate for a more just and equitable world for all genders.

Love is in the Air - Celebrating Valentine's Day with the One You Adore

Valentine's Day is an annual holiday celebrated on February 14th. It is a day when people express their feelings for their partners, families, and friends.

Having fun with family and friends. Valentine's Day is celebrated not only by couples, but also by families and friends. I planned to spend Valentine's Day with my family and friends. We went out to dinner and shared stories and memories from previous Valentine's Day celebrations. It was a lovely evening that brought us closer together and taught us the value of our relationships.

Valentine's Day is a day to express our love, affection, and gratitude to the people in our lives. It was a day filled with joy, love, and laughter that I will never forget. I'm looking forward to Valentine's Day next year and the memories it will bring.

Celebrating the Rich Culture and Heritage of Vigan

Every year, as a resident of Vigan, I am honored to witness the beauty of the Kannawidan Festival. The festival honors the city's rich cultural heritage and the Ilocano people's history by showcasing their traditional practices, beliefs, and arts. It has grown to be one of the most important cultural festivals in the country, attracting both local and international tourists.

Kannawidan Festival is a week-long celebration full of cultural activities such as street dancing, cultural presentations, and trade fairs. Every year, as a Vigan resident, I look forward to this festival. The festival transforms the city with a vibrant energy, and it's exciting to see the streets come alive with colorful costumes and traditional music. I enjoy watching the street dancing performances and cultural presentations because they give me a taste of Ilocano culture.

The "Tawid ken Kultura" trade fair is one of the festival's main attractions. It's a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to showcase their goods, which include traditional handicrafts, food, and souvenirs. The trade fair also allows visitors to learn about Ilocano culture, and I take pride in sharing my culture with others.

Kannawidan Festival is an important event for the people of Vigan because it celebrates our cultural heritage and highlights our city's beauty. As a Vigan resident, I consider myself fortunate to be a part of such a vibrant and exciting festival. The festival illustrates the Ilocano people's toughness, and I hope it continues to thrive and inspire future generations.

The Colors, Sounds, and Flavors of Vigan City Fiesta

My heart was overflowing with pride and joy as I stood on the streets and once more seen the grand parade banner of the Vigan City Fiesta after three difficult years. I was reminded of previous fiestas and the rich cultural legacy that this city is so proud of by the vivid colors, the sounds of music, and the energy of the people around me.

It's been three years since I last saw and experienced seeing people who are receiving candies and other goods on the parade, so seeing all of the audience competing on "bitor" and shouting candy is amusing and fun.

And last but not least, the beautiful marching band. Ever since I was a child, I always loved watching marching band parades. Everything about it is so lovely to hear the marching band play instruments like lyres and drums.

I have always valued Vigan's rich culture and history, which are proudly featured during the yearly Vigan City Fiesta. I was born and raised here.

Every year, as residents and visitors alike engage in a variety of traditional sports and activities, the streets are alive with music, laughing, and excitement. I always want more of the vibrant parades and the mouthwatering food stands serving our distinctive Ilocano cuisine.

Happy Fiesta Vigan City!!
